Mathematica ™ Applications for Download
In the course of our work, we have created a number of applications programmed under Mathematica ™, a symbolic mathematical package developed by Wolfram Research, www.wolfram.com.
We feel that these applications could help others, and are making them available via the 'Net, at no charge. (But, see the Conditions for Use, below.) In order to run these applications, you will need a copy of Mathematica ™ (not supplied here; see www.wolfram.com).
Modified Kusnetz Radon Progeny Working Level Calculation
Developed under Mathematica 5.0 ™. A dataset of air sample and gross alpha count data is entered into the data table named "table". The application performs a linear two-dimensional interpolation of the data found in Borak, Franco, and Holub (Health Physics, April 1982, Vol. 42, No. 4, Page 462, Table 1) to obtain the Kusnetz factors, then calculates the radon progeny working level, and provides results and summary statistics.
